Came to me one evening in the summer as we sat out late and 'fox' trotted lightly down the driveway into the garden - did not even see us....we sat quietly

really, oh that is wonderful. I can remember that I saw a fox near the Thames, and I saw a fox in Carinthia, my parents had a Almhόtte and it came out of the wood. It is dangerous, because of the Tollwut. But I think there is no Tollwut in UK.

Once in awhile I see red foxes or grey foxes during my 30 minute travel to town. However I never see them around the ranch. My best guess is the coyotes out number them and prey upon them. Coyotes are at least twice the size of the fox. I like to think the fox is gentle and feel gifted when I'm allowed to see them. Have a beautiful day!

Seems the coyotes are their predators....Foxes are quite resourceful, though.... Enjoy your day!

They are such adorable creatures....albeit somewhat triublesome in the garden....

What a lovely poem - captures the magic of the moment so perfectly

How very aptly put.....magic of the moment! That was precisely what it was...as we sat there quietly in the garden and it did not appear to notice us as it trotted lightly by...within three meters of us....

I don't think it would have been particularly bothered if it had - we have one comes in our garden sometimes, and if it sees one of us it just stps and stares for a couple of seconds, then continues on it's way at the same pace. Quite awesome to have it look directly into your eyes!
